YZ的家位于上海一个2000年代建成小区内，约100平方米。由于砖混结构限制，主要房间之间的墙壁无法拆除。改造设计从它的典型空间：走廊开始。原走廊宽1.4m，已是被忽视和浪费的区域。设计将走廊重新构想，破坏这个已从典型发展为刻板的空间类型，寻找新机会。走廊的轮廓和使用空间如厨房、储藏间的轮廓一同被调整。南次卧作为新的书房和走廊、客厅联通，不再是一个封闭的房间，走廊也成为了开放空间一部分，不再是尽端空间。重新构想的走廊如同微缩的街道，以走廊之形变，实现“家”之形变。房间视线通过面向走廊的洞口被联通，视线形成了房间的另一扇“窗口”。 “窗口”之间的角度、边界、以及透过的光线又有所不同，赋予了每个房间各自的风景。
YZ's home is located in a residential areabuilt in the 2000s in Shanghai, covering an area of about 100 square meters. Due to thelimitation of brick structure, the walls between the main rooms cannot beremoved. The renovation design starts with its typical space: the corridor. Theoriginal corridor is 1.4 meters wide and has become a neglected and wastedarea. The design reimagines the corridor, destroying this type of space thathas developed from a typical to a stereotyped one, and looking for new opportunities.The reimagined corridor is like a miniaturestreet, which realizes the deformation of the "home" through thedeformation of the corridor. The sight of the room is connected through thehole facing the corridor, and the sight forms another "window" of theroom. The angles, boundaries, and light passing through the "windows"are different, giving each room its own scenery.

Residential Renovation
The outline of the corridor is adjusted together with the outline of thefunctional space such as the kitchen and the storage room. The south secondarybedroom is connected to the corridor and the living room as a new study room.It is no longer a closed room. The corridor has also become part of the openspace and is no longer an end space.
